FTD delivered the complete fit-out of Dalkia’s new London headquarters, creating a modern and high-quality workplace designed to support collaboration, operational efficiency and future business growth. Delivered under a JCT Design & Build contract, the project involved the full transformation of a 30,000 sq ft commercial office space. The Brief
Dalkia required a new headquarters that would provide a functional, professional and collaborative working environment for its employees. The brief was to transform the existing space into a contemporary workplace incorporating open-plan office accommodation, meeting rooms, collaborative workspaces, breakout areas and staff welfare facilities. The completed environment also needed to reflect Dalkia’s brand and operational requirements while providing the flexibility needed to support the company’s continued growth.

The Challenge
Delivering a large commercial headquarters fit-out within a 16-week programme required careful coordination between the design team, construction team, specialist contractors and supply chain. The mechanical and electrical installations, internal finishes and individual workplace areas all needed to be closely managed to maintain programme certainty and achieve a consistent level of quality throughout the project.

 

Our Solution

FTD adopted a coordinated Design & Build approach, managing the scheme from the development of the design through to the completion of the fit-out. The project included the construction and fit-out of open-plan offices, meeting rooms and collaborative working areas. Breakout spaces and staff welfare facilities were also created to provide employees with comfortable areas away from their main
workstations. FTD coordinated the associated mechanical and electrical services alongside the architectural and interior elements, ensuring that the finished workplace was both practical and visually consistent. High-quality internal finishes were installed throughout, with careful attention paid to workmanship, detailing and the integration of Dalkia’s workplace requirements.
