Our clients require a reliable contractor capable of responding quickly to a wide range of property maintenance and improvement requirements across their estates. From an individual repair through to complete kitchen and bathroom replacements, FTD provides a single point of responsibility for coordinating and delivering multiple trades.

Reactive maintenance and social housing contracts require a very different approach from traditional construction projects. Every day can involve a diverse range of works across multiple locations, requiring effective scheduling, rapid mobilisation and careful coordination of different trades. Works are frequently undertaken within occupied homes, care environments and operational commercial buildings. Our teams therefore understand the importance of professionalism, communication, safe working practices and minimising disruption to residents, service users and building occupants. Our Solution

FTD has developed a strong multi-trade operation across the North West, allowing us to directly manage the majority of works using our own skilled workforce. Our in-house capabilities include Gas Engineers, FIRAS-accredited joiners, plumbers, electricians, plasterers, painters and fabricators, providing clients with access to multiple specialist trades through one contractor. Reactive works range from general day-to-day maintenance and minor repairs through to actions identified following Fire Risk Assessments. Alongside reactive maintenance, FTD delivers planned capital improvement programmes, including complete kitchen and bathroom refurbishments. For kitchen replacements, our team can manage the entire process, including plastering, flooring, tiling and the installation of the new kitchen. Bathroom programmes similarly provide a complete solution, incorporating plastering, tiling or bathroom wall panels, new bathroom suites and floor finishes. This integrated approach allows FTD to control quality, programming and communication throughout each job while reducing the reliance on multiple external contractors.​
